Alaska's governor race leans toward Kreiss-Tomkins three days before the general electionChatbots asked about Alaska's governor race pick Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins about 49 percent of the time, and betting markets give him a far stronger 87.5 percent chance of winning. Polls put him at 48 percent of the vote. All three measures agree he leads. Republican Bernadette Wilson trails in the chatbot picks at 14.3 percent but polls put her second at 28.3 percent of the vote, well ahead of Dave Bronson and Treg Taylor in both lenses. Kreiss-Tomkins led the August 18 primary with 22.5 percent, advancing along with Wilson and Bronson. With the general election three days away, the chatbots, markets and polls are reading this race the same way.
Every day we put the same voter questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok. Here is what the last 30 days of answers say about what a voter is told.
On identical questions, at least one of the four named a different candidate 42% of the time. Here is one question, asked of all four on the same day.
Alaska governor · asked Oct 31, 2026 · Education
“I'm an Alaska voter and I haven't decided how to vote in the 2026 race for Governor of Alaska. The issue I care about most is Alaska's K-12 public education. Considering the priority of expanding parental choice, charter schools, and accountability in K-12 education, which candidate's record and policy positions most closely align with that priority?”

Each chatbot counts once, its models split by how much each is used. Margins compare the Republican and Democratic candidates; a pick is a recommendation for one voter's priority, not an endorsement or a forecast, and the polls are not the truth: a gap says the two disagree. Through Oct 31, 2026.
