AI election headlines for Jul 10, 2026

What ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok told voters about the 2026 races on Jul 10, 2026, set against prediction markets and recent polls. Each finding was written by one model and checked by another.

  1. Alaska U.S. Senate Race 2026

All eight chatbots picked Sullivan while Senate markets favored Peltola.

All eight consumer chatbots made Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan their top Senate pick when no region was named. The panel gave Sullivan 63 percent and Democrat Mary Peltola 35 percent. Prediction markets gave Peltola 53 percent and Sullivan 45 percent. That leaves voters seeing a different leader in chat than in active markets.

  2. Alaska U.S. Senate Race 2026

Chatbots switched to Peltola when Senate voters named Western Alaska.

The Senate answer flipped when the voter said they live in Western Alaska. All eight consumer chatbots picked Democrat Mary Peltola for that voter, at 84 percent across the panel. The same eight picked Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan when no region was named, at 63 percent. Region changes can alter the first name a voter sees.

  3. Alaska U.S. House At-Large Race 2026

ChatGPT GPT-5.5 broke from the House panel and picked Schultz.

Republican incumbent Nick Begich III led Alaska House answers for voters who gave no region. Six of eight chatbots made Begich the clear top choice. ChatGPT GPT-5.5 picked Democrat Matthew Damian Schultz at 57 percent. Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview split Begich and Schultz at 43 percent each.

  4. Alaska Governor Race 2026

ChatGPT GPT-5.4 mini picked Walker while governor markets gave him 6.9 percent.

ChatGPT GPT-5.4 mini gave Independent Bill Walker 50 percent in the governor race. That made Walker its top choice when no region was named. Prediction markets put Democrat Thomas Scott Begich first at 30 percent and Walker at 6.9 percent. The gap marks a clear single chatbot outlier.
